About the Journal

The Istiqlal Journal on Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies, is published by Badan Pengelola Masjid Istiqlal Jakarta (Istiqlal Mosque Management Board) provides a scholarly platform for discourse in Islamic Studies. It encompasses a wide array of topics, including Islamic Education, Islamic Law, Islamic Economics and Business, Qur'anic and Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Thought and Literature, Islam and Peace, Science & Civilization in Islam, Islam in local/national contexts, and Islam and gender. Through this diverse range of subjects, the journal aims to foster comprehensive discussions and promote interdisciplinary research within the field of Islamic Studies. This journal is published twice a year in June and December. 

Istiqlal Journal on Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies (IJIIS) is a scientific journal in Islamic Studies centered on the mosque with its universal function, more than just a place of worship, but also as a center for education, development, and as the economic center of the Muslim society.
